Bubba's Big Boy Milestone

So, Luka's name for Roscoe is Bubba.  The best we can figure is that it is her saying "brother" and it is certainly easier for a one-year-old to say than Roscoe.  It is adorable regardless.

Brother Bubba has decided he is done wearing diapers.  I could say that he is "potty trained", but there was no actual "training" involved.  He has known for a year what needs to happen and he has occasionally humored us with his compliance, but then he always asked for diapers.  In my typical hands-off, try-not-to-turn-my-kids-into-neurotic-messes parenting style (others may call this permissive, which may well be so), I just didn't worry about it.  I was not interested in a power struggle over bodily functions.  Lucky for me, once Roscoe decided it was time, there was no struggle to be had.  He stopped needing diapers almost completely (even during naps and night).

I feel like there is a parenting lesson in here for me somewhere.  Or, more accurately, a life lesson.  Something like:

Stop freaking out all the time and let life happen.
It will all work out.
